Classic Colnago Frame

I have a well worn, yet beautiful 70's era Colnago road racing frame for sale. Sad to see her go, but on to the next project...

SIR. Wooden Collar Stays

My most recent design work has finally hit the shelves! Look Sharp Sir has just introduced a new line of men's fashion accessories, including the SIR. Wooden Collar Stays that I designed and developed from initial concept to production.  They are currently available for sale at MyShopify, as well as MensMarket.

"To Use: Simply push out a pair of stays from the card, slide the stays in the pockets on the underside of your collar, then fold your collar down, as per usual. Remove before laundering."

  • Each slick & sturdy board contains 5 days worth of collar stays, to keep you looking sharp through the work week.
  • Individual collar stays are 2.5” each.
  • Be smart. Don’t let small children or pets around your collar stays.
  • Not for consumption. That’s what scotch is for.

Tent and Thigh Testing

Here are some photos from a recent cycling trip up New Jersey's 9W to Harriman State Park.  We were experimenting with a new GoPro video camera that has a nice fish-eye lens as well as a water-proof case.  The 55 mile ride up was gorgeous, however the electrical storm and torrential rains kept us inside the leak proof tents all night.  More camping and cycling photos and videos to come!

Original Mural Sketch

I always enjoy seeing how much (or little) murals can change from the original concept sketch all the way to the finished painting. I thought you all might enjoy seeing the progression as well.

Silkscreening

I've been coming across a bunch of work from my last few semesters at Pratt that I never had a chance to post.  Now that I have a little more free time I plan to continue showing some recent projects.

I printed a series of t-shirts featuring some of my hand-drawn text on the front, accompanied by an image of the pink panther on the back.  Here are some process shots, hopefully I can get some photos of friends wearing the shirts in the weeks to come.  Interpret the message in whatever way you find fit!

Hostel Signage

I recently stumbled upon some photos of water-colored signage I did for the hostel I stayed at while visiting Ecuador this past winter.  I tried to squeeze in a lot of drawing and painting during the trip. I also have a few landscape watercolors I still need to find that I may be able to photograph and upload later.  Until then here are some photos, sorry they aren't the best.

Chelsea Market Mural

I did some more mural work this week helping my buddy Zach complete a piece for the Chelsea Market.  Check back soon for photos of my next mural for the guys and gals of 67 burger.

Finished Brooklyn Mural

Here are some photos of the completed mural for 67 Burger.  This piece can be seen at their Park Slope location, just south of the brand new Nets stadium (pictured in the mural).   It sounds like they want me to paint another for their second location, so check back for more mural action in the weeks to come!

Website Coming Soon!

I've been busy as hell since graduating from Pratt this may, however I am proud to say that I will soon be launching my personal website: www.willvanzee.com

Look forward to future updates on my latest bicycle and motorcycle projects as well as sneak peeks at my upcoming design work.

Until then, soak up some of that summer sun!

Vee Modular Tents

I got some friends to help me test and photograph the final prototype of my tent design this past weekend.  Named Vee for the distinctive v shape that allows multiple tents to connect.  More photos and presentation material to come, hold tight!

Furniture Fabrication

I just finished a freelance furniture fab job and thought I should share some photos of the process.  The last shot shows the stools after they received a copper patina and right before they got clear-coated.  Small wooden slats will nest inside both frames. All design work by Jenny Parker, final photos to come.
