Colson Chalkboard Menu

I recently updated the chalk menu for Colson Patisserie at Industry City. Really enjoyed practicing my casual lettering. Here's a photo of the finished product:

Completed Doorway

Iphone shots of completing the doorway for Building 3 today. Three more doorways to go!

One of the struggles of working as a muralist is seeing your hard work damaged, replaced, buffed, or built over. You've gotta remember that there will always be another project to make up for it, but for me there is always a sense of loss. Industry City has been doing some more renovation in Building 2, removing large portions of the mural project I worked so hard on alongside Doug Aldrich, Kevin Farrell and Rich Soffar. Graphic Design

Digital design has never been by my strong suit, however the reality is that computers are quick and sometimes the fastest way to work out concepts is with Photoshop or Illustrator. Here are some quick mock-ups for a stencil I've been developing to announce free wifi at Industry City. Stay tuned for more hand painted goodness!

Elevator Mural in Progress
